The Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival takes place in February every year, providing an opportunity to introduce new Ukrainian films into the international film community. The festival is well-known for its wide range of competitions and prizes awarded at award ceremonies held around the world during one week before the opening night.
The “durban international film festival submission” is a call for entry to the 51st Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival. The festival will take place from September 3rd – 9th, 2022 in Kiev, Ukraine.
Dear Asian filmmakers, through March 1st, 2022, the Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival (Ukraine) is accepting submissions.
“Over the course of half a century, ‘Molodist’ has evolved from a local, strictly professional evaluation of student films at Karpenko-Kary University’s freshly established Faculty of Cinematography to a significant worldwide event that identifies world-class filmmakers.”
The festival is now in its 50th year, and its mission remains the same: to unearth vital trends in new cinema growth and to assist ambitious rookie filmmakers in finding their place on the global film map. In terms of new directors, Tom Tykwer, Francois Ozon, Bruno Dumont, Danny Boyle, Ildiko Enyedi, Jacques Audiard, Xavier Dolan, and Stephen Daldry are among those who have made their premiere in Kyiv over the history of ‘Molodist.’
Student, first short film (fiction, animation, documentary), first feature film, and first professional full-length documentary film are the primary components.”
